Special Viewing of SPLIT – The Film

Join me this Thursday, May 7th at Park School in Mill Valley for a very special Splitpicviewing of Split, the film from 7-8:30/9pm.

Split is a documentary film that is done entirely from the perspective of children’s experience of divorce.  It is a wonderful movie both for children and grown ups.  For children, the airing of other kids’s perspectives, feelings, thoughts, etc. around their experience of divorce can decrease their sense of alienation and provide a tremendous amount of relief.  For adults, it is…well…enlightening to say the least.

As adults, we are thrown into managing so very many things around divorce.  Of course, our children’s well-being is one of our very top concerns; however, that doesn’t mean we are equipped to handle the situation nor that we are fully aware as to what the child’s experience is. Split will really provide insight into the many areas that are of concern to the chilren…their hopes, their fears, their grieving as well as their incredible resilience.

The movie itself is 28 minutes in length and the viewing will be followed by a discussion.  The first part of the discussion will include children and the second part will be just for parents.
